Void 4899860 lrg.jpg

A photo taken from deep in the Void.

The Void is the fourth of the dimensions on Minecraft. It has no unique blocks and serves only as a space below the Bedrock layer. If a player in Creative mode digs through the bedrock layer during day, the Void will appear bright blue from above. At night, it appears black. When in the Void, everything is black except when the sun/moon is setting/rising or when lightning strikes. If a player falls for 2.5 seconds, they will start dying. This is one of the two ways to die in Creative mode; the other is the /kill command.

  • The Void and the Far Lands are (were in the case of the Far Lands) the only dimensions and/or biomes with no unique blocks, mobs, or items.
