Rose Bushes were added in 1.7 as a sort of replacement for the Rose (which was actually replaced by the Poppy).

one of the four two-block-high flowers (the others are Peony, Sunflower, and Lilac). Like most flowers, Rose Bushes cannot be grown on Grass Blocks with Bone Meal; however, they are affected by it.

Bone Meal

When Bone Meal is used on any two-block-high flower, it will drop a duplicate of itself.

Trivia

  • Standing in it or any two-block-tall plant will make most monsters not see the player.
